Anthony Joshua Nearly Loses Day Job Because of FIFA

Believe it or not, a professional boxer, Anthony Joshua, was on the verge of losing his profession.

The Watford-born boxer became the new IBF world heavyweight champion recently at the O2 Arena. He would reveal after his title fight that he had to give up playing FIFA 16 as the video game was affecting his intensive training regime.

Joshua, 26, required just two rounds to see off American Charles Martin in front of a crowd including Jose Mourinho.

But the new world champion has revealed he had to quit playing FIFA 16 when it was clear his video game addiction was effecting his boxing.

Joshua is a huge fan of the EA Sports franchise, attending the games unveiling in London last year.

I used to play FIFA until it affected my boxing, said Joshua.

I had to stop playing [FIFA] because it affected my sleep and recovery, Joshua told the Sun.

I could stay up till five in the morning playing it, get up at seven and train.

Thats how mad it was, it wasnt healthy. Even then it was always sports.
